Everyone knows Market Day. Everyone LOVES Market Day: it's a day to be involved in active student clubs and societies! Looking at the societies' creative banner designs, listening to them promoting their societies enthusiastically, tasting their free treats and smelling the scent of fresh cookies ... oh, what a lovely and lively ambience!
This truly is a day for UQ Yoga & Meditation Club too! We were at Stall 103, a fairly strategic spot to attract potential members. 10 am strikes in, and off we go to work(?)!

The crowd and students' responses were magnificent--almost unbelievable! Within the two hours of relentlessly promoting UQYMC, we easily gathered 200 members.
TWO HUNDRED members! Remember, we are only halfway through Market Day, and the number does not include members who registered online!

Our UQYMC executive team are more than determined to make this Market Day a success. In doing so, we began our preparation as soon as we can. First things first...
What is the easiest way of identification for our members? Our membership card, of course! Every semester, we produced new designs to easily distinguish Semester 1 and Semester 2 cards. This semester, we decided to bring the membership cards a step further by ecoprint. Well, printing should not cost the earth, does it? Have a look at our design below!

With these resources, we are confident that our Market Day will be a success. And sure enough, registration as members was flooding in throughout the day until we wrapped up at 2pm.
We thank every member for your support; your enthusiasm and positive attitude are the key motivators for us, UQYMC executive team, to continue our diligent work!
Last but not least, we extend our gratitude to our very own UQYMC executive team! Our team had worked non-stop during the preparation phase (which takes place one month prior to the Market Day itself!) just to ensure our UQYMC members and supporters had a good time and wonderful experience.
